Alison McNab is an Academic Librarian at the University of Huddersfield, whose main role is to support researchers at all stages of the research lifecycle. She has regularly pioneered the implementation of new technologies and resources, with a focus on their use to enhance service development and delivery, and for much of her career specialised in the marketing and exploitation of e-content.
Her professional interests include accessibility and assistive technologies, current awareness and trend-watching, the exploitation of e-content, information literacy, publishing, scholarly communications, and the effective use of social media by libraries and researchers. She has contributed to the wider profession by writing, editing, speaking, and as a member of several professional commitees including MmIT, UKeiG and the UKSG. She is the current Chair of Cilip's MmIT group.
